The Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library Board of Trustees meets monthly on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Members of the public are welcome to attend a board meeting; please call ahead 845-795-2200 or email director@miltonlib.org, so that seating and materials may be provided. Check the library calendar for any changes.

How to Become a Library Trustee
Interested in serving on the library board? Here is some information you need to know:
There are 9 trustees who serve on a volunteer basis. There is no financial compensation. Terms of service are 3 years and may be renewed by a vote of the full board. When there is a vacancy, suggestions are made by our director and board members, and from a list of people who told us that they would like to volunteer. Candidates are interviewed by the executive committee who then make a recommendation for nomination to the full board. A formal vote is conducted at a regularly scheduled monthly board meeting.
