You can request an item in person next time you are at the library, just let us know what materials you’re looking for and the librarian can place a hold on the item. Then when the item comes in, we will give you a call so you can come pick it up! If the item is on the shelf (not checked out) at another library, usually you can pick it up from the librarywithin a week!
To Request an Item Online:
- Head to the Mid-Hudson Library catalog HERE
- Sign in with your library card number (the barcode number on the back of your card) and PIN
- Enter the title of the item you want to request in the search bar, or use keywords to browse.
- You can refine the results by format or availability in the sidebar on the left
- When you find the item you want, you can request it by clicking the blue button on the bottom right corner of the item description.
- Select the library you want the item delivered to, it will show your home library by default.
- Click “Confirm Location” and you are all set! We will contact you when your item arrives.
- This process is the same for items that are available immediately and items that are currently checked out to someone else.
